

Pretty groovy, huh? I think so. Evan and I went to Omaha this afternoon and this target is the result of me and a 9mm. I think I did pretty okay for my first time ever with a handgun, even though I was kind of all over the place. I was way nervous at first, but Evan was very patient with me. He had to keep reminding me to do certain things, but it's a lot to remember so the only way I am ever going to remember it all is if I keep doing it. So, hopefully, this is not the only time ever that we go to Omaha, and I'm fairly certain it won't be. It's kind of a bummer the place is in Omaha to begin with, because who really wants to drive to Omaha just to shoot for an hour, but hey, it was a nice facility and not really too expensive. There was another target I was pretty proud of, partially because I got a head shot, but that one had both Evan and I shooting at it so it was not just reflective of my work. Ah well. This is hanging up on my wall now - classy, I know, but I think it's neat. It was something new that I'd never done before and it was a lot of fun. I need to stop flinching quite so much; I did a lot the very first couple times I shot. It just took some getting used to, that's all. I definitely want to go back and try again. My grandpa is going to be so proud of me.
